We are so grateful for your support over the years, and despite personal traumas, 2023 was a fantastic year for Black Girl Writers.

Here are our highlights!

We had an amazing Q and A with bestselling fantasy author Saara El-Arifi

We met with the team at Trapeze Books, Blake Friedmann Literary Agency, and Mushens Entertainment

We launched our #StepUp Programme, a six-month novel-writing intensive workshop with Simon & Schuster

We welcomed 6 new mentors (with more joining us soon!)

We matched 30 aspiring writers with publishing professionals

Our very own Moyette Gibbons signed with an agent, Hannah Schofield!

We have so much more planned for 2024 and we look forward to being a part of your publishing journeys.
