BGW Mentee Sharma Taylor Bags 2-book deal with Virago

Major congrats to Sharma Taylor, one of the first cohort of Black Girl Writers mentees, who recently signed a two-book deal with Virago after a “hotly contested auction”.

Sharma was paired with Emma Herdman in summer 2020 for a standalone mentoring session, after which she was supported in connecting with literary agents that were perfect for her book. Sharma was promptly snapped up by Hellie Ogden (one of our newest mentors) and now, the rest is history!
